Key responsibilities & impact

support the Florida Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) General Engineering Consultant (GEC) Program
lead and work on various projects
Identify and solve complex structural engineering issues
Ability to review Category 1 structure plans and technical documents
Coordinate with Central Office and perform District reviews of plans
Provide input to Department’s Structures Engineer
Assist in the preparation of Scope of Services and staff hour estimates
Plan, schedule, and conduct detailed phases of engineering work
Review all component plans for structural details and coordination
Coordinate work with other engineers and professionals

Requirements

What you’ll need

B.S. or M.S. in Engineering
M.S. or graduate level technical coursework preferred
Engineering with ten years’ experience since B.S. or nine years since M.S.
15 to 20 years of experience typically required
PE License required
FDOT experience preferred
Proven organizational, technical writing and communication skills
