About the role

  • Taking ownership of preparing and delivering a full scope of work for transmission and distribution overhead lines
  • Identify line corridors, easements and preliminary route alignment
  • Develop PLS CADD models for transmission lines
  • Perform micro-spotting of towers and determine appropriate foundation and tower types
  • Generating bill of materials
  • Conducting stringing charts/sag tension calculations
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to define project goals
  • Actively participating in design reviews, risk assessments and quality control processes

Requirements

  • Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • CPEng and/or RPEQ desirable
  • Proven experience in the design of transmission lines up to 500 kV
  • Proficiency in use of overhead line design tools and software like PLS CADD & PLS TOWER
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical skills
  • Experience working in digital engineering environments and delivering to local technical standards and guidelines
  • Commercially minded
