💰 $72,000 - $102,000 per year

About the role

  • Support or lead substation engineering project teams.
  • Develop General Arrangements for Substations, Equipment Plans, Control House Layouts, etc.
  • Perform design studies and demonstrate knowledge of physical electrical substation design.
  • Coordinate design activities to maintain project schedules and budgets.
  • Assist in site visits and project meetings.
  • Provide construction support including resolving site queries and inspections.
  • Manage project documentation and engineering studies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience focused on the development of substation engineering for Intermediate positions.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred for all positions, required for Senior positions.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Prior utility consulting experience is a plus.
  • Strong client focus and customer service.
  • A high level of interpersonal communication skills, including a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of applicable industry standards including the National Electric Code (NEC), National Electric Safety Code (NESC), and IEEE.
  • Ability to perform independently and in a team environment and provide project ownership.
