About the role
- Designs and develops plans and drawings
- Organizes and conducts engineering investigations and planning work
- Prepares reports of sections of more complex reports
- Provides engineering services during construction activities
- Researches feasibility of alternative design approaches
- Contributes to the development of specifications and permit applications
- Prepares preliminary man-hour, cost and material quantity estimates
- Participates in quality control checks
- Performs field observations of construction
- Upholds engineering ethics and standards of conduct
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering with two years' experience post B.S Degree, or one year experience post M.S. Civil Engineering degree
- Four (4) years' experience post B.S. degree preferred
- E.I. or EIT is required or must obtain within six (6) months of starting
- Technical writing, computer and communications skills required
- CAD skills required
