About the role

  • Work within small to medium sized multidisciplinary teams
  • Collaborate and support in an office / site environment at least half of your working week
  • Bring commercial awareness to effectively deliver tasks for multiple workstreams
  • Deliver to time, quality, and cost objectives

Requirements

  • Degree qualified mechanical engineer (or other relevant qualification)
  • Experience in originating and progressing designs from concept through to detailed design
  • Good working knowledge solid mechanics, engineering materials, structural and thermal engineering
  • Ability to perform design calculations from first principles
  • Proven strong problem solving, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with design codes such as ASME BPVC Section III, RCC-M, BS EN 13480, BS EN13445 (preferred)
  • Understanding of systems engineering principles and application of V&V techniques (preferred)
  • Supervising less-experienced engineers and students (preferred)
  • Chartered with a relevant professional institute (or approaching application for registration) (preferred)
