About the role
- Lead the development and writing of high-quality, client-focused proposals and tender responses
- Collaborate with technical teams to translate complex information into clear, persuasive written content
- Ensure all submissions are compliant, compelling, and client focused
- Support the development of bid strategies, win themes, and value propositions
- Develop, manage and maintain a library of reusable content and case studies and contribute information to the Proposals Information Hub
- Contribute to continuous improvement of bid processes, tools, and templates
- Participate in bid reviews and lessons learned sessions
Requirements
- Proven experience writing winning bids in a consulting, engineering and technology environment
- Strong understanding of the Shipley proposal development process or similar structured bid methodologies
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofing skills with a keen eye and attention to detail
- Ability to interpret technical information and present it in a client-friendly format
- Familiarity with public and private sector procurement processes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work as part of a team
- Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and a passion for continuous improvement
- Resilient under pressure and adaptable to changing priorities
- APMP certification or equivalent is advantageous
- Experience working in a matrixed or global organisation
- Experience with proposal automation tools
