About the role
- Design fire protection systems for the commercial, institutional and industrial sectors;
- Lead and supervise technicians/drafters/modelers assigned to the same projects;
- Perform discipline-related calculations;
- Prepare the technical specifications and reports required for project delivery;
- Evaluate the costs of construction work as well as maintenance and operations activities;
- Participate in site supervision (review of fabrication plans and shop drawings, preparation of change notices, cost revisions and payment requests, review of project closeout documents, etc.);
- Conduct surveys and inspections of installations related to the discipline.
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a specialization in building systems or other relevant training;
- Be a licensed member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
- Have relevant fire protection experience (minimum 5 years);
- Be familiar with Revit MEP and NFPA standards;
- Demonstrate excellent teamwork skills.
