About the role
- Own and direct teams who undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
- Defining briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
- Alongside project managers, successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
- Work closely with and within teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Setting, as well as adherence to quality assurance standards in design.
- Grow, develop and manage process engineering capability within the practice.
Requirements
- Chartered Chemical / Process Engineer (preferably IChemE or CIWEM).
- Experience in owning design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
- Comprehensive knowledge and design experience of drinking water treatment process and principles – conventional and advance treatment technologies.
- Comprehensive knowledge of process engineering considerations and their impact on project- and operational risks.
- Design optimisation and/or operational experience of main process unit’s operations.
- Willingness to lead, contribute and develop our technical knowledge networks.
- Experience of design and delivery of projects with adherence to UK safety and environmental regulations, process safety techniques (e.g. HAZOP), knowledge of capital and operational costs - and risk assessments, as well as whole life carbon assessments.
