About the role
- Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
- Alongside project managers, successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
- Work closely with and within teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
Requirements
- Chartered Chemical / Process Engineer (preferably IChemE or CIWEM).
- Experience in leading elements in project design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
- In-depth knowledge and design experience of drinking water treatment process and principles – conventional and advance treatment technologies.
- Familiarity with current design standards and working practices.
- Experience of design and delivery of projects with adherence to UK safety and environmental regulations, process safety techniques (e.g. HAZOP).
- Knowledge of capital and operational costs - and risk assessments, as well as whole life carbon assessments.
- Willingness to contribute to and develop our technical knowledge networks.
