About the role
- Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes
- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals
- Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes alongside project managers
- Work closely with and within teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions
- Adhere to quality assurance standards in design
Requirements
- Chartered Chemical / Process Engineer (preferably IChemE or CIWEM)
- Experience in leading elements in project design delivery, including multidisciplinary design
- In-depth knowledge and design experience of drinking water treatment process and principles – conventional and advance treatment technologies
- Familiarity with current design standards and working practices
- Experience of design and delivery of projects with adherence to UK safety and environmental regulations, process safety techniques (e.g. HAZOP)
- Knowledge of capital and operational costs and risk assessments, as well as whole life carbon assessments
- Willingness to contribute to and develop technical knowledge networks
