About the role
- Lead project staff and be capable to develop work plans, specifications and calculations
- Review and approve schedules, budgets, project milestone dates, and work products
- Manage all aspects of the project design including client facing and signing and sealing project deliverables
- Oversee financial performance of projects
- Responsible for ensuring quality assurance activities are being performed throughout the project
- Maintain positive client relations with existing clients and build new relationships with others
- Actively pursue, investigate, and evaluate new or expanded opportunities for associated projects and services within the firm
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in field of practice
- Graduate degree preferred
- Management coursework and/or MBA a plus
- Ten to fifteen years of experience since B.S. or nine to fourteen years since M.S.
- Excellent technical and interpersonal skills
- Public speaking and persuasive ability
- Very strong financial management, team management, and leadership skills
- Professional registration in field of practice is required, e.g., P.E.
- Certification as a "Project Management Professional" (PMP) or "Certified Construction Manager" (CCM) required within one year of assuming this position.
