About the role
- Participate in the review of plans and specifications to identify quality requirements
- Plan and monitor quality assurance activities according to client requirements, project specifications, and procedures
- Define the quality control procedures to be applied
- Carry out regular site inspections
- Monitor contractors’ performance against their quality plans and the project specifications
- Monitor and verify compliance of materials, work methods and completed works
- Initiate, track, review and validate the content of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action Reports (CARs) until closure
- Document non-conformities and follow up on proposed corrective actions
- Provide necessary support (technical guidance, procedures, work methods, etc.) to the engineering team and site supervisors
- Collaborate with site managers, engineers and subcontractors
- Review quality documentation submitted by contractors
- Prepare quality assurance reports and assist with providing information for monthly quality reports
- Provide quality assurance recommendations at the request of the site supervising engineer
- Participate in site meetings to address quality issues
- Verify compliance of critical repairs
- Prepare daily quality assurance reports
- Prepare handover/reception packages for completed works
Requirements
- Proficient in French (written and spoken)
- Bachelor’s degree or technical training in civil engineering/architecture is an asset
- 5+ years of experience in the construction or manufacturing sector
- Familiar with construction sites, vertical repair/refurbishment works and hydraulic crossings
- Familiar with ISO 9001 and good knowledge of quality assurance management principles
- Ability to work on multidisciplinary projects and with various project stakeholders
- Strong communication skills
