About the role
- Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels
- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals
- Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes
- Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions
- Adhere to quality assurance standards in design
Requirements
- Chartered Civil Engineer or equivalent
- Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design
- Knowledge in design such as flood walls and embankments, weirs, hydraulic structures, culverts, scour protection, access and accessibility and construction logistics
- Familiarity with current UK design standards, guidance and working practices
- Proficiency in delivering both traditional engineering and environmentally focused solutions using nature-based strategies
