About the role
- Responsible for delivering a variety of civil and structural design packages and projects
- Manage both individual design packages and entire projects
- Support project resourcing and financial control
- Ensure schemes are delivered profitably, to programme and in accordance with quality assurance systems
- Undertake technical reviews of designs and understand relevant design standards
- Manage stakeholders such as specialist suppliers, independent checkers, and local authorities
Requirements
- Chartered status and membership of the ICE or IStructE
- Background in civil engineering design
- Experience in delivery of single and multi-disciplinary projects
- Familiarity with working on projects from feasibility to detailed design
- Experience with key clients such as National Highways, Network Rail, Local Authorities and/or major Contractors
- Ability to lead and support bids and tenders
- Ability to develop and agree scopes and manage the internal technical supply chain
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
