About the role
- Prepare design calculations and design reports for concrete/steel/timber design
- Establish a structural analysis model using applicable software
- Prepare technical and other project specifications
- Quantity estimations
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines
- Coordinate the work of structural designers and draftspersons
- Keep track of project documents and construction progress
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related degree
- Experience in using structural analysis computer software (SAP2000/STAAD) is an asset
- Experience with AutoCAD is an asset
- Knowledge of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code, Concrete Design Handbook, Steel Design Handbook, and other applicable design codes is an asset
- Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written English communication skills
