About the role
- Provide electrical systems design leadership and project management
- Review client requirements and provide design options
- Participate in site surveys of electrical systems
- Document meetings with clients, contractors, and consultants
- Review tender submissions and quotations
- Work with contractors to resolve onsite issues
- Prepare design briefs, schematics, project documents and perform engineering calculations
Requirements
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in power system design
- Experience in mining and mineral processing facilities
- Proficiency in ETAP, SKM, and AutoCAD Electrical
- Knowledge of high voltage electrical systems
- Strong understanding of Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), CSA and IEEE standards
- Experience leading multidisciplinary coordination efforts among electrical, mechanical, and automation teams
- Ability to produce detailed design packages
