Technical Leadership of piping teams on large projects or multi-discipline teams on small to mid-size projects
Delivery of technical solutions to complex problems
Oversight of production of clear and concise technical reports, calculations and drawings
Review and verification of technical documentation produced by others
Regular communication with clients and stakeholders, building and nurturing strong relationships with them
Production or review of bids and proposals
Develop capability through mentoring and coaching, development of tools/templates, input into technical community
Requirements
Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or equivalent
Senior technical practitioner able to demonstrate good engineering judgement and with extensive experience in using fundamental engineering skills while leading and developing others
Extensive experience in piping and pressure vessel design and stress analysis
Experience delivering projects for UK nuclear licensees
Experience in safety critical piping design (desirable)
Chartered with a relevant professional institute (desirable)
Experience in working with design codes such as ASME BPVC Section III, RCC-M, BS EN 13480, BS EN 13445 (desirable)
Experienced in PESR and PSSR compliance (desirable)
A good understanding of commercial and client management principles (desirable)
