About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop positioning recommendations for emerging product or new category opportunities
  • Build messaging hierarchies, core consumer benefits, proof points, and strategic narratives that can inform packaging, DTC, retail, and campaign execution
  • Conduct or synthesize category and competitive landscape reviews to identify white space and differentiation opportunities
  • Create creative briefs that provide clear direction for internal creative teams and/or agency partners
  • Partner with Brand Marketing, Creative, Consumer Insights, and other cross-functional teams to refine work through structured review points
  • Ensure recommendations are aligned with AG1 brand strategy, tone, consumer positioning, and quality standards
  • Deliver clear, polished, ready-to-use documents that support timely creative and go-to-market planning

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of experience in brand strategy, innovation marketing, product marketing, or new product development marketing.
  • Proven ability to develop positioning frameworks, messaging architecture, and creative briefs for consumer products.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to synthesize complex inputs into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Experience developing positioning and messaging for new or evolving product spaces.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to create polished, executive-ready deliverables.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with brand, creative, insights, product, and go-to-market stakeholders.
  • Strong independent operator who can quickly ramp, manage defined deliverables, and incorporate feedback efficiently.
  • Experience in wellness, CPG, supplements, functional food and beverage, or consumer health brands preferred.
  • Prior Director-level or senior consultant experience preferred.
