About the role
- Coordinate all aspects of planning and execution of all grassroots events including entry into events, creation of onsite activation materials and items, staff scheduling, logistics, player appearance coordination, onsite merchandise and register-to-win opportunities, and promotion of events
- Assist Director, Marketing with the day-to-day interface with the grassroots staff including facilitation of details about events, payment, and serve as a point of contact with them
- Research potential grassroots partners and events for year round visibility both in-market where teams are based and nationally at key sport specific events
- Assist coordination of the creation of marketing promotional items, banners, and collateral
- Assist Director, Marketing on the creation and dissemination of marketing communication assets both internally and externally as directed
- Work with the greater team on the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing related events and promotions
- Serve as on-site representative for Marketing during select times during the seasons and off-season to assist with execution of marketing related activities in-market for games, events, and grassroots activities (travel required)
- Report on campaign effectiveness including putting together recaps, collecting and uploading leads, measuring activities against established KPI’s, etc.
- Work with VP, Marketing & Director, Marketing to produce marketing calendars, plans, execution tracking, marketing decks, and other internal marketing documents
- General marketing support duties as assigned
Requirements
- A minimum 4-6 years of experience in marketing or related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write promotional copy
- Solid computer skills including GSuite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva (preferred)
- Skills and ability to create marketing decks, reports, recap documents, and other similar marketing communication documents
- Collaborative and flexible working style with the ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work and complete multiple tasks
- Ability to manage partner relationships in an attentive and professional manner
- Ability to interact and communicate with customers in a face-to-face environment
- Willingness to work marketing information tables at grassroots events
- Ability to travel to games and event locations as needed
- Previous sports experience or knowledge of sports is preferred
