About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a full-cycle sales process, including prospecting, presenting, and closing new business
- Maintain an active and accurate sales pipeline using Salesforce
- Build proficiency in athenahealth’s sales methodology through structured training and certification milestones
- Conduct virtual product demonstrations for prospective clients using Microsoft Teams
- Produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts aligned to assigned quota
- Partner with internal teams—including marketing, inside sales, and customer success—to generate and advance leads
- Use the online contracting process to complete deals efficiently
- Apply AI tools to enhance productivity, such as preparing outreach materials, researching prospects, or summarizing customer insights, while learning new AI capabilities as they emerge
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2–4 years of corporate, client-facing work experience
- 1–3 years of sales experience (including inside sales, telesales, or quota-carrying roles)
- Experience using CRM systems; Salesforce preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain organized workflows
- Ability to understand and execute a full-cycle sales process
- Demonstrated business acumen and ability to learn quickly
- Openness to feedback and commitment to continuous learning and collaboration
