About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead Athena's performance operation, overseeing people, clients, projects, KPIs and deliverables.
  • Manage and develop professionals across paid media, design, copywriting, social media, account management and operations.
  • Establish and run management rituals, progress meetings, one-on-ones, feedback sessions, performance reviews and development plans.
  • Set targets and monitor KPIs such as CAC, LTV, ROAS, ROI, CPL, CPA, conversion rate, retention and profitability.
  • Review paid media strategies and provide technical guidance to the team on acquisition, conversion, tracking and optimization decisions.
  • Ensure strategies are aligned with each client’s business objectives, not just platform metrics.
  • Organize processes, responsibilities, SLAs and workflows to reduce bottlenecks and improve operational productivity.
  • Build dashboards and monitoring mechanisms that provide clarity and predictability on the company’s and clients’ performance.
  • Monitor the team’s operational capacity, distribute workloads sustainably and identify hiring or reorganization needs.
  • Participate in strategic client meetings, especially during planning, results presentations, misalignments or account recoveries.
  • Identify operational risks, performance issues and improvement opportunities before they impact client experience.
  • Take part in hiring, onboarding, development and, when necessary, offboarding of team members.
  • Make operational decisions autonomously, reducing the founder’s dependence on day-to-day management.
  • Work with Athena’s leadership to define priorities, goals, organizational structure and growth plans.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in digital marketing, performance, growth or related areas.
  • Experience in a marketing agency or environments handling multiple accounts and simultaneous projects.
  • Hands-on experience leading marketing, performance or operations teams.
  • Technical knowledge of Meta Ads, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, pixels, tracking, events and conversions.
  • Ability to analyze acquisition funnels and identify improvement opportunities in media, offer, creatives, landing pages and commercial processes.
  • Experience with metrics-driven management, goal setting, SLAs, processes, dashboards and action plans.
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate responsibilities and follow execution without centralizing all decisions.
  • Confidence to give feedback, enforce accountability, conduct difficult conversations and make autonomous decisions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present strategies, analyses and results clearly to clients and the team.
  • Analytical, organized, proactive and solution-oriented profile.
