Requirements

0–2 years of actuarial experience through school, internships, or early career
Progress toward ASA or FSA designation
Strong problem-solving instincts and a passion for learning
Commitment to Athena’s mission and values
Comfort working independently in a remote-first environment
Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and explore new ideas.
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Experience with healthcare, or other public health programs (nice-to-have)
Familiarity with programming tools like SAS, SQL, or MacroVB (nice-to-have)
Experience with Federal Health Agencies (e.g., HHS, CMS, AHRQ, etc.) (nice-to-have)
