About the role
- Oversee laboratory functions and ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards relevant to NGS technologies.
- Develop and implement laboratory policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Lead the laboratory staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate with clinical teams to ensure high-quality patient care and timely results reporting.
- Stay updated on advancements in molecular diagnostics and implement new technologies as appropriate.
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and laboratory equipment maintenance.
- Participate in accreditation processes and quality assurance programs.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and external auditors.
- Engage in research and development efforts to advance laboratory capabilities.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Current CQ (Certificate of Qualification) for NGS is required.
- Minimum of five years of experience in clinical laboratory management, specifically in molecular diagnostics and NGS.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory regulations and accreditation standards (CLIA, CAP, etc.).
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
