About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and implement the solution's data architecture
Develop batch and near‑real‑time ingestion pipelines
Integrate internal and external data sources
Build and administer IBM watsonx.data environments
Implement a corporate Data Lakehouse
Structure analytical and operational data models
Be responsible for the knowledge infrastructure that feeds RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
Ensure data quality, governance, and traceability
Develop integrations with IBM watsonx.ai
Implement automations using IBM RPA and IBM watsonx Orchestrate
Build observability and monitoring mechanisms for pipelines
Define versioning, CI/CD, and DataOps standards
Contribute to the definition of the platform's technical architecture
Support security, backup, and recovery strategies
Manage capacity, performance, and costs of the IBM Cloud infrastructure
Produce technical solution documentation
Conduct knowledge transfer to internal teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
Proven experience in enterprise cloud data projects
Advanced knowledge of SQL, Python, and system/API integration
Knowledge of cloud architecture
Experience with data governance and quality, data modeling, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, DataOps, and DevOps
Hands-on experience with IBM watsonx.data, IBM watsonx.ai, IBM watsonx Orchestrate, IBM watsonx BI, IBM RPA, and IBM Cloud
Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines
IBM Cloud and IBM watsonx certifications (preferred)
Experience with SingleStore (preferred)
Knowledge of OpenShift and Kubernetes (preferred)
Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (preferred)
Knowledge of FinOps (preferred)
Experience with Contact Center, NOC, or Command Center (preferred)
Experience in mission-critical environments (preferred)
Knowledge of enterprise observability and monitoring (preferred)
