About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and implement complex public relations programs and media relations in support of AT&T’s transformation initiatives
- Provide communications support and planning for AT&T’s Supply Chain organization
- Support development and distribution of speeches, scripts, press releases, messaging, social media content, and other materials for external and internal audiences
- Support media relations efforts, including engaging with reporters, writing media statements, and conducting in-depth research
- Distill complex technical topics into clear, accessible, and actionable messaging
- Maintain a working-level understanding of company priorities and the macro news environment
- Collaborate with peers at all levels across business units on complex problems requiring detailed analysis
- Advise internal business partners on upcoming stories, issues, and events that may impact the company’s reputation
- Develop external communications strategies with internal clients and partners
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired
- 5+ years of related experience
- 5+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, journalism or related field
- Superior writing, editing, and organizational skills
- Media relations experience
- Ability to respond in a timely manner to urgent requests and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience communicating with senior leadership to provide counsel and recommendations on key initiatives
- Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment and be a problem solver
