About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support technical assessment and delivery of specific technical network solutions to the customer
  • Provide key support across all network solution lifecycle stages
  • Provide technical direction and engineering expertise for Command and Telemetry solutions
  • Plan, design, and implement communications and network infrastructure requirements for buildings and systems
  • Generate installation plans, procedures, templates, and training documentation
  • Perform the transition/transformation from existing to new network design solutions
  • Provide technical consulting and advice on solution design, system management, tuning, and modification
  • Collect and determine data from appropriate sources to identify customer needs and requirements
  • Respond to customer requests for technical information
  • Develop customer technology solutions using industry products and technologies
  • Support C&T Network Engineering and other engineering teams for network design and engineering activities across WAN, LAN, CAN, access and control interfaces, and multi-classification communication networks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph
  • Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education
  • Must be compliant with DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2
  • Experience/education alternatives: Doctorate and 3 years, master’s and 4 years, bachelor’s and 6 years, associates and 8 years, or HS diploma and 10 years
  • Technical expertise with KRATOS T500MX-XC or ARKA P&DBs (Packet & Data Buffers), or basic Linux system administration understanding
  • Understanding of low speed RS422 serial communications, including RS533 electrical specifications and cabling
  • Network infrastructure knowledge including routers, switches, BGP, VRF, VLAN, and NTP
  • Ability to work onsite at the government customer site in Chantilly, VA at least 5 days per week
  • No relocation offered
