About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Intelligence Sector in a dual-hatted COMSEC Responsible Officer and Tier II Network Technician role
- Manage and remain accountable for all COMSEC material issued to the subaccount
- Coordinate and route COMSEC material transfer and disposition requests
- Create and maintain a COMSEC file plan and an unclassified material delivery point
- Key cryptographic equipment according to supporting key effective dates and handle Top Secret keys using Two-Person-Integrity procedures
- Establish recurring COMSEC user training and prepare and maintain an emergency plan
- Process transfer, destruction, and CRO inventory paperwork and return it to the program office
- Publish authorized-access lists for COMSEC material
- Report known or suspected COMSEC incidents and ensure proper incident-reporting procedures
- Request additional or relocated COMSEC material and return excess and ancillary material to the COR
- Support detachment operations and maintenance personnel on new installs, circuit outages, and troubleshooting
- Sign reports as Primary CRO or Alternate CRO when the Primary is absent
- Validate continuing need for locally held COMSEC material and request disposition instructions
- Install and maintain client LAN/WAN devices
- Respond to and resolve incidents and troubleshoot network issues
- Complete assigned tasks within SLOs/SLAs
- Draft and implement standard network change requests
- Support Tier III network engineers with incident management and projects, including site surveys, TEMS, and new equipment installation
- Update topology drawings, maintain accurate asset-management records, and conduct inventory
- Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, including Cisco/Juniper RMA processes
- Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 switching, including VLANs, port security, and thin configurations
- Perform Cisco and Juniper hardware upgrades, installations, de-installations, IOS upgrades, and network configurations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph
- Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education: Doctorate and 3 years, master’s and 4 years, bachelor’s and 6 years, associates and 8 years, or HS diploma and 10 years
- Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2; level 3 certifications are acceptable as well
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Eligible to drive an AT&T company vehicle
- Available to travel up to 20% of the time
- Available to work flexible hours, including weekend support
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
- Experience with customer briefings
- Highly organized, problem solving, and self-motivated
- Layer 1 network experience (CAT5/6, SM/MM Fiber, Serial cables, SFP)
- Layer 2 network experience (configuring/troubleshooting switches/routers, MAC addresses, VLANs, port security, thin and thick configs)
- Layer 3 network experience (subnetting and familiarity with OSPF, BGP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, GRE)
- Experience with Cisco and Juniper hardware upgrades, installations, de-installations, IOS upgrades, and network configurations
- Experience with Visio
- Familiarity with ServiceNow and Confluence
