About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support all facets of phone installations and troubleshoot a variety of telephones
- Install, pull, terminate, and dress cabling according to industry and Sponsor standards
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty connections, dropped calls, and hardware issues
- Configure call routing, voicemail, extensions, and phone features
- Travel locally between customer buildings or temporarily work at alternate locations for special projects
- Provide team coverage from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with flexibility to support 24x7 operations
- Work extended hours during critical peaks and respond to last-minute requests
- Travel back and forth between Chantilly and McLean
Requirements
What you’ll need- Required TSSCI clearance with polygraph
- Excellent knowledge of cabling methodologies, industry standards, troubleshooting techniques, and cable run lists
- Experience installing endpoints, including desktop IT equipment, printers, VoIP and digital phones, and network switches
- Experience resolving technical problems and answering queries involving computer hardware, networks, and telecommunications systems
- Related IT hardware and cabling installation experience preferred
- Experience implementing Sponsor network LAN infrastructure preferred
- Ability to adapt to changing tasks and requirements
- Ability to quickly learn new skills on the job
- Willingness to travel between Chantilly and McLean
- Willingness to support extended hours and 24x7 operations when needed
