About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the installation and maintenance of the client LAN/WAN devices
- Respond to and resolve incidents, demonstrate troubleshooting skills and communicate with the team
- Complete assigned tasks within Service Level Objectives/Agreements (SLOs/SLAs)
- Draft and implement standard network change requests
- Provide support to Tier III network engineers for incident management and projects (site surveys, TEMS, coordinate and install new equipment)
- Perform configuration management functions such as update topology drawings, ensure asset management records are accurate, and conduct inventory
- Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades
- Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching (VLAN’s, Port Security, Thin Configs)
- Perform IOS upgrades for Cisco, Juniper, Brocade and Foundry OS
Requirements
What you’ll need- Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education
- Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2
- Available to travel up to 20% of the time
- Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
- Available to work flexible hours, to include weekend support
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
