About the role
- The Permit Coordinator is responsible for managing the permitting process for engineering and construction projects.
- Review and interpret permit requirements and documentation.
- Prepare and submit permit applications to appropriate agencies.
- Track the status of permits and ensure timely renewals or updates.
- Create and revise scaled drawings using CAD or similar software.
- Maintain accurate records of all permit-related documents and drawings.
- Stay current with municipal, state, and federal permitting regulations.
- Ensure all projects comply with applicable codes and ordinances.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for permitting agencies.
- Address and resolve issues or discrepancies raised by municipalities.
- Collaborate with engineering, planning, and construction teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience in permit coordination, preferably in engineering or construction.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and scaled drawings.
- Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with local permitting processes and regulations.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Preferred Bachelors of Science degree in Math, Science, or Engineering.
- Typically requires 1-2 years experience.
