About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a trusted technical advisor during joint sales calls, effectively communicating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences with clarity and confidence to C-level executives.
- Lead collaborative solution development activities with customers and sales teams to understand business challenges and craft solutions that leverage AT&T’s product portfolio.
- Design and deliver sophisticated sales presentations, live demonstrations, and proof-of-concept initiatives, showcasing deep product knowledge and the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Continuously monitor and interpret global industry trends, disruptive technologies, and evolving federal security requirements related to data and communication services to ensure compliance and competitive advantage.
- Provide expert consultation on system architecture, software applications, and integration strategies to ensure solutions meet customer specifications and security mandates.
- Analyze customer practices, procedures, and data to resolve technical challenges and recommend innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and security posture.
- Act as a subject matter expert with seasoned knowledge of functional and process areas, mentoring peers and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Exhibit exceptional agility and leadership in dynamic environments: including on-site customer locations, remote network operations centers, executive briefings, and virtual collaborations; adapting rapidly to emerging priorities and complex technical landscapes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, information technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in technical sales or engineering, solution architecture, or related roles within telecommunications, with a track record of success in high-impact, strategic customer engagements.
- Exceptional executive communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with demonstrated success influencing, advising, and building consensus among C-level leaders, business stakeholders, and highly technical audiences.
- Strong understanding of Dept of War and Federal security standards and compliance requirements affecting data and communication services.
- Proven ability to stay current with industry developments and leverage this knowledge to inform customer solutions and sales strategies.
- Highly self-driven, analytical, and consultative leader with a demonstrated ability to navigate and resolve complex, ambiguous technical challenges—delivering visionary recommendations that drive business transformation and operational excellence.
