About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervision and management of a team of Material Controllers, Fleet Mechanics, Drafters and Administrative Associates
  • Overseeing the flow and distribution of inventory and supplies
  • Maintaining technician work schedules; attendance management
  • Providing feedback, training, and coaching to employees
  • Evaluating and appraising employee performance
  • Interviewing, and gauging the skill level of, potential hires and transfers
  • Handling employee grievances consistent with the collective bargaining agreement at the step one level
  • Identifying and removing roadblocks to safety and efficient performance by employees; and conducting in-field safety and quality inspections
  • Act as single point of contact for virtually all customer escalations
  • Resolve customer complaints on behalf of company
  • Serve as the organization’s Fleet Manager overseeing all vehicles ensuring compliance with both internal and external policies
  • Implement warehouse practices and procedures that improve inventory accuracy, project material accountability and reduce overhead
  • Manage the budget used to procure valuable network equipment
  • Follow the Business Units Safety Plan completing all required Safety Observations and Competencies in the required timeframe

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA), technical degree or equivalent experience preferred
