About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Supervision and management of a team of Material Controllers, Fleet Mechanics, Drafters and Administrative Associates
Overseeing the flow and distribution of inventory and supplies
Maintaining technician work schedules; attendance management
Providing feedback, training, and coaching to employees
Evaluating and appraising employee performance
Interviewing, and gauging the skill level of, potential hires and transfers
Handling employee grievances consistent with the collective bargaining agreement at the step one level
Identifying and removing roadblocks to safety and efficient performance by employees; and conducting in-field safety and quality inspections
Act as single point of contact for virtually all customer escalations
Resolve customer complaints on behalf of company
Serve as the organization’s Fleet Manager overseeing all vehicles ensuring compliance with both internal and external policies
Implement warehouse practices and procedures that improve inventory accuracy, project material accountability and reduce overhead
Manage the budget used to procure valuable network equipment
Follow the Business Units Safety Plan completing all required Safety Observations and Competencies in the required timeframe

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of related experience
Valid driver’s license
Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA), technical degree or equivalent experience preferred
