About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides portfolio-wide business operations and financial leadership across the entire Columbia Program Office (CPO) (multiple contracts).
  • Leads, mentors, and trains a team responsible for purchasing, invoice processing, customer reporting, and month-end close activities supporting all CPO contracts.
  • Owns monthly close requirements across the CPO portfolio, including revenue recognition, cost/expense reporting, P&L and balance sheet analysis, variance explanations, and timely submission of deliverables.
  • Tracks financial performance at the contract/task and CLIN/SLIN/ACRN levels; monitors hours and dollars, burn/run-rate, and funding runout.
  • Maintains compliant financial controls and audit-ready documentation across all contracts; manages responses to internal and external audit requests.
  • Develops and maintains annual budgets and monthly/quarterly forecasts across multiple contracts.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Fifteen (15) years experience with financial planning, analysis and operations in a government contracting setting with at least five (5) years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent project management/leadership skills.
  • Excellent desktop skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Access).
  • Requires a strong knowledge and experience with FAR, CAS and GAAP compliance.
