About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define solution architecture, component interactions, data flows, integrations
Own Snowflake operational patterns (env strategy, warehouse sizing, workload isolation, cost governance)
Drive deep SQL performance tuning; design and govern secure data shares and standards
Embed data governance and compliance controls (classification, retention, lineage, auditability, access reviews, masking/tokenization where needed)
Establish logging/monitoring for audits and investigations
Architect Azure foundations and secure network designs (VNet/subnet, NSG, routing, DNS, firewall, Private Link/private endpoints)
Implement encryption and secrets/key management patterns; manage certificate-based connectivity (rotation, trust chains, troubleshooting)
Build/manage VMs and patching processes; design secure, reliable data transfer approaches; ensure operational readiness via monitoring/alerting
Use SQL/Python/PySpark to automate operations and data workflows; promote CI/CD, version control, testing, and repeatable deployments
Align stakeholders, lead design reviews, and standardize reusable patterns to accelerate delivery and reduce risk

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master's degree (MS/MA) desired in Computer Science
7+ years of related experience
Certification is required in some areas.
