About the role
- Define automation-first, risk-based quality strategies and test plans aligned to business outcomes and release goals.
- Partner with Program Managers, Development Leads, and Architects to identify test scenarios and quality risks.
- Design, implement, and enhance test automation to improve coverage, reliability, and regression confidence.
- Drive CQE efficiency by standardizing reusable test assets and leveraging AI to analyze results faster and reduce redundancy.
- Collaborate early in the design phase to define API flows, data requirements, and test strategies.
- Support sustainment and regression testing for AT&T releases.
- Report defects, analyze test results, and produce quality metrics using AI to automate reporting and improve triage.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on software QA and testing experience
- 7+ years working with complex, integrated systems and service-oriented architectures
- Strong understanding of digital online platforms and self-service customer journeys
- Proficiency using dashboards, logs, and telemetry to drive data-informed quality decisions
- Strong defect management and triage skills
- Hands-on troubleshooting using observability tools such as ELK (Elastic/Kibana) and Quantum Metric
- Intermediate to advanced experience with test automation tools, including Playwright (preferred), Robot Framework, Katalon, Appium
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics; developer nanodegree; or equivalent professional experience
