About the role

  • Define automation-first, risk-based quality strategies and test plans aligned to business outcomes and release goals.
  • Partner with Program Managers, Development Leads, and Architects to identify test scenarios and quality risks.
  • Design, implement, and enhance test automation to improve coverage, reliability, and regression confidence.
  • Drive CQE efficiency by standardizing reusable test assets and leveraging AI to analyze results faster and reduce redundancy.
  • Collaborate early in the design phase to define API flows, data requirements, and test strategies.
  • Support sustainment and regression testing for AT&T releases.
  • Report defects, analyze test results, and produce quality metrics using AI to automate reporting and improve triage.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on software QA and testing experience
  • 7+ years working with complex, integrated systems and service-oriented architectures
  • Strong understanding of digital online platforms and self-service customer journeys
  • Proficiency using dashboards, logs, and telemetry to drive data-informed quality decisions
  • Strong defect management and triage skills
  • Hands-on troubleshooting using observability tools such as ELK (Elastic/Kibana) and Quantum Metric
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with test automation tools, including Playwright (preferred), Robot Framework, Katalon, Appium
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics; developer nanodegree; or equivalent professional experience
