About the role
- Lead and coordinate complex IT service projects as part of a large government contract.
- Responsible for resource allocation, project planning, risk management, and direct oversight of cross-functional teams.
- Serve as the key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring project objectives are met on schedule and within budget.
- Prepare and present project status reviews and other formal reviews to Government Project Managers and stakeholders.
- Rapidly assemble and lead focused, cross-disciplinary Government/Contractor teams to address urgent or unexpected cost, schedule, or technical challenges.
- Collaborate and coordinate with multiple organizations—both internal and external—to ensure alignment and support for project objectives.
- Oversee projects in highly technical IT environments, including event monitoring and management, security services, IP telephony, video teleconferencing, and new equipment or service implementations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in two of the following: Demonstrated experience managing projects in large-scale, technical IT operations environments (e.g., event monitoring, security services, IP Telephony, VTC, systems implementation).
- Experience working with technical teams in highly specialized environments, including systems engineering and administration.
- Strong planning, organization, and resource management skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience directing cross-functional teams.
- Ability to rapidly assess and respond to changing priorities and requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in risk analysis and mitigation strategies.
- Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
