About the role
- Mentor and onboard more junior members of team
- Build functional, high-resolution prototypes
- Provide technical expertise and leadership in requirement analysis, design, effort estimation, development, testing and delivery.
- Work with product management, architects, and other engineering teams to understand stated and unstated needs and turn them into functional and technical requirements
- Help drive technical decisions while making appropriate trade-offs on technology, functionality, robustness, performance, and extensibility
- Estimate project scope and timelines, and consistently deliver on those commitments
- Implement, refine, and enforce software development techniques to ensure that the delivered features meet software integration, performance, security, and maintainability expectations
- Research, test, benchmark, and evaluate new tools and technologies, and recommend ways to implement them in product development
- Maintain high standards of software quality and technical excellence within the team by establishing good practices and writing clean, testable, and maintainable code
- Identify issues, bottlenecks, gaps, or other areas of concern and work to either directly affect change, or advocate for that change
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and robust infrastructure solutions for diverse teams within the organization
- Orchestrate containerized applications using Kubernetes, ensuring seamless deployment, scaling, and management of microservices.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines, enhance system reliability, and optimize resource allocation
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring system performance, and ensuring security best practices are upheld
- Utilize Python and Java
- Utilize MySQL, Postgres, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS and GCP
- Utilize RESTful API development, and Git
Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation
- Utilizing Python, Java, or SQL
- Utilizing MySQL, Postgres, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and GCP
- Utilizing RESTful API development
- Utilizing software management technologies including Jira and Git
- Implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Utilizing Agile and DevSecOps methodologies
- Producing independent “proof-of-concepts” in novel domains
