About the role

  • Design and implement visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for acquisition, care, or product across all platforms, creating cohesive style guides and ensuring consistent application of design elements and language while meeting customer experience standards in all scenarios.
  • Oversee and approve digital designers’ work; flex to cover work requests as needed; and foster a culture of creativity, open communication, and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate across teams to align visual design with overarching strategies (campaign, site, and user experience).
  • Work cross-functionally with writers, producers, and strategists to deliver on-brand creative work.
  • Work closely with technology and brand teams to troubleshoot site issues and update components to align with brand and business requirements, including accessibility.
  • Use style guides for consistent design and language across projects and products.
  • Factor in usability testing results when making design and creative decisions.
  • Advocate for growth in design by contributing to the evolution of AT&T design systems and best practices.
  • Mentor fellow digital designers and stay abreast of emerging design trends and technology and how they may boost the customer experience.
  • Support associate director when out by overseeing the team and projects in progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, UI/UX design, visual communication, or similar.
  • Eight+ years of related experience with two+ years in a leadership role.
  • Portfolio featuring digital campaigns for various touchpoints and marketing channels.
  • In-house or ad agency experience a plus.
  • Expertise in digital brand experience and customer-focused thinking.
  • Experience making data-driven design decisions to drive engagement and conversion.
  • Well-versed in accessibility standards, responsive design, and current design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong presenter who can convey a clear vision with diplomacy.
  • Able to challenge the status quo and bring creative solutions that go beyond the brief, support the strategy, and drive the business forward.
  • Knowledgeable in designing experiences for both B2B and B2C audiences.
  • Experience with project management systems, Workfront a plus.
