About the role

  • Design and implement visually compelling and functional retail store layouts that enhance customer experience and align with brand guidelines.
  • Create innovative and functional store layouts that optimize space utilization and enhance the customer shopping experience, while designing and implementing visual merchandising strategies that align with brand guidelines and effectively showcase products.
  • Ensure all store designs are consistent with the brand’s visual identity and guidelines and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, and store management to ensure cohesive and practical store designs.
  • Utilize CAD software and other design tools to create detailed floor plans, 3D models, and renderings of store layouts, and manage design projects from concept to completion, adhering to timelines and budgets.
  • Conduct site visits to assess space requirements and gather necessary measurements and data, and coordinate with external vendors and contractors to ensure the implementation of design plans according to specifications.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in retail design to continually enhance store layouts and customer experience, ensuring all designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
  • Design and lead the creation of innovative prototype floor plans that reflect brand strategy, customer traffic patterns, and sales objectives.
  • Conduct regular audits of floor plans across clusters to ensure compliance with visual standards and to identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Analyze store profiles and segment stores into categories (clusters) to tailor floor plans that address unique market needs and inventory capacities.
  • Monitor and analyze SKU-level sales data by fixture and wall, identifying trends and actionable insights to optimize product placement and assortment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Certification is required in some areas.
  • Proficiency in design software (CAD and others) is necessary.
