About the role
- Manage day-to-day team operations and related initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor writers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Provide guidance on best practices and tools.
- Drive high-quality content development and partner with the content strategist to align deliverables with key business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, and guide team members to ensure cohesive, impactful, and integrated messaging.
- Share content direction with designers and contribute to business case development to meet and exceed stakeholder goals.
- Advocate for process, ensuring content meets accessibility standards, brand guidelines, maintains a consistent tone of voice, and follows editorial style.
- Manage content within content management systems (CMS) and oversee the review and approval process to ensure quality and consistency.
- Research SEO strategies, implement best practices, generate content ideas, monitor performance, and stay updated with industry trends to enhance quality and relevance.
- Translate technical content into simple, consumer-friendly language.
- Manage a variety of projects for multiple stakeholders with both short and long timelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, advertising, or similar.
- Ten+ years of related experience with 2+ years in a leadership role.
- In-house or ad agency experience a plus.
- Portfolio showcasing writing for digital touchpoints throughout the customer journey.
- Exceptional writer who can adapt tone and voice while staying on brand.
- Experience writing for B2B and B2C audiences.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing principles and channel-specific best practices.
- Strong presenter who can convey a clear vision.
- Big-picture and critical thinker who is detail-oriented.
- Experience with project management systems, Workfront a plus.
