About the role
- Design and optimize user experiences for acquisition, care, or product across all platforms, using a combination of skill, creativity, collaboration, and tools to ensure intuitive and seamless interactions.
- Create wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualize design solutions, showing a command of design patterns and ability to convey complex ideas.
- Systems thinker with a product mindset able to wrangle complex problems and find clarity and simplicity.
- You think strategically about any design challenge and seek to create holistic, compelling products that serve the end user.
- Support thorough user research to understand user needs and behaviors, validate customer desires, and establish a strong connection to the goals of the product experience.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including researchers, developers, and product managers, to ensure cohesive and effective design solutions, contribute to the design group’s efforts to enhance digital offerings, and independently manage multiple projects.
- Use storytelling to compellingly convey the vision and effectiveness of the solution.
- Ensure that designs comply with usability and accessibility standards, create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, and maintain security and documentation standards, including quality and accuracy.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve design processes, outcomes, and analyze performance to drive future design improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of interaction/product design experience across a variety of digital media (or equivalent experience)
- Strong portfolio of design and UX work.
- A track record of leading substantial design projects
- Comfortable in an executive-facing role
- Experience in concept ideation, design strategy, and digital prototyping.
- Must be very comfortable with graphic design and interactive tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and AI tools like ChatGPT, Loveable, and LLM-driven tools (And have the drive to always learn and experiment with new tools.)
- Knowledge or expertise in one or more of the following is a plus: visual design, machine learning, mobile applications, web applications, messaging interfaces, illustration, video/film production
- Well-versed in user-centered methodologies and design thinking. You design for consumer needs first and foremost.
