About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver Tier 2 and 3 support for workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment on-site and remotely
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and test hardware to minimize downtime and maximize performance
  • Conduct site surveys and assess configurations and user requirements
  • Prepare diagrams, configuration documentation, installation schedules, and site installation/test reports
  • Analyze hardware requirements and prepare technical specifications for procurement
  • Support network upgrades by installing and configuring hardware and cabling
  • Build and install specialized interconnecting cables
  • Train site personnel on hardware use and maintenance
  • Maintain government and vendor-manufactured fiber optic modems, multiplexers, fiber optic/Ethernet cables, and telephone systems
  • Follow standard operating procedures and use ticketing systems for issue tracking and documentation
  • Provide end-user connectivity support and technical guidance
  • Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and business units on projects and continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant IT experience
  • Must possess 8570 Certification
  • Security+ certification is highly preferred
  • Required clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph
  • Highly skilled in installing, repairing, and troubleshooting computer hardware and peripherals
  • Well-versed in installing Windows operating systems, software applications, antivirus programs, and security patches
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from technical manuals and schematics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Expertise with Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems
  • Familiarity with Active Directory security and policies
  • Proficient in supporting end-users remotely
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; eligible to drive an AT&T company vehicle
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Availability to work an 8-hour shift scheduled between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM
