About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own a defined local geography and create new business with small and mid-sized companies
  • Prospect through cold calling, walking into businesses, email, referrals, networking, and local market research
  • Meet business owners and decision-makers to identify challenges and position AT&T solutions
  • Set appointments, qualify prospects, schedule customer meetings, and build a consistent sales pipeline
  • Manage a defined geographic territory, prioritize target accounts, understand local business needs, and execute a market plan
  • Sell AT&T solutions across wireless, fiber, internet, voice, software-defined networking, and cybersecurity
  • Engage small and mid-sized businesses across retail, professional services, healthcare, construction, logistics, hospitality, and local multi-site operations
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through proposal, negotiation, close, implementation handoff, and follow-up
  • Maintain accurate CRM records for calls, visits, appointments, opportunities, next steps, and forecasts
  • Balance field-based customer meetings with collaboration from the assigned office location
  • Build customer opportunities, develop new customer relationships, close new business, and attain quota

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2–5 years of quota-carrying outside acquisition sales experience is ideal
  • Demonstrated success acquiring new business through prospecting, cold calling, referrals, appointment setting, and disciplined follow-up
  • Experience using Salesforce
  • Comfortable spending significant time in the field visiting businesses and building relationships with owners, operators, and decision-makers
  • Strong business acumen and ability to connect customer needs to AT&T’s product and solution portfolio
  • Ability to handle objections, negotiate, ask for the sale, and advance opportunities toward close
  • Self-disciplined ability to manage daily activity, Salesforce updates, pipeline health, and quota expectations
  • Ability to collaborate from the assigned office location when not in the field
  • Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week
