About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Maintain accounting systems and oversee general ledger activities
Manage month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare journal entries and reconcile ledger accounts
Maintain accurate records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions
Support local, state, and federal tax compliance
Prepare or coordinate tax returns and statutory filings
Identify potential tax-saving opportunities and provide guidance on tax-related matters
Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls
Coordinate internal and external audit activities
Lead complex accounting projects and process-improvement initiatives
Communicate financial findings and recommendations to key stakeholders
Provide guidance or mentorship to less experienced team members
Support cash-flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting-system enhancements
Develop and implement long-term plans with potential organization-wide impact
Influence strategic and executive-level decisions
Collaborate frequently with senior leadership
Perform other duties as assigned
No direct supervisory responsibility

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
5+ years of relevant professional experience
Professional certification may be required based on the position’s area of specialization
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
In-depth inventory and installment accounting knowledge
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Ability to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies
40 hours per week
No relocation is offered
