About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handle all administrative tasks for new hires, including I-9 completion (including e-Verify); enrollment in benefits; and 401k setup.
  • Handle all administrative offboarding activities, including exit interviews over Teams or in person, processing terminations in HCM, sending offboarding information (including NDA information), and moving personnel files to terminated status.
  • Manages all benefit processes, including both new hire and annual enrollment process.
  • Processes benefit changes, such as qualifying events, terminations, etc.
  • Ensures retroactive benefit changes are updated to payroll on a timely basis for correct payroll processing.
  • Leads open enrollment informational and/or help sessions.
  • Provide support to employees for leaves of absence, including all compliance-related communications and documentation.
  • Partner with the HR team on value-added strategic priorities such as employee culture initiatives, employee engagement surveys, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and more.
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of the employee handbook, and contribute to policy development.
  • Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, and provide guidance and interpretation for business operations.
  • Participate in the development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and ongoing reports for company requirements.
  • Suggest new procedures and policies for improving employee experience as well as the efficiency of the HR department and company.
  • Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and procedures when necessary.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
  • Advanced knowledge of HRIS and ability to learn new technical systems, when necessary
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human resources, business, or related field
  • Proven success working in an HR department with 3-5 years of experience
  • Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail
