About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the development, implementation, and coordination of the speech-language therapy program.
- Participate in Individual Education Plan (IEP) conferences and meetings.
- Conduct assessments and analyze results to determine strengths and concerns.
- Develop treatment plans in conjunction with instructional staff.
- Ensure evaluations and intervention plans are aligned with guidelines.
- Assist teachers in observing and referring suspected speech and language delays.
- Provide support services to parents/guardians as needed.
- Improve systems and procedures and ensure compliance with all tasks.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology or Communications Disorders from an accredited college or university.
- Valid Certificate from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) of Clinical Competence.
- Valid ADE Speech Language Pathologist Certification.
- Valid Arizona DPS-Issued IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Spanish bilingual abilities, highly preferred but not required.
- Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.
