About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide administration, development, and application support for end users
  • Design, develop, code, test, and debug system software
  • Design and implement embedded-device and system software from requirements through deployment
  • Review code and software designs
  • Configure and integrate third-party software components and technologies
  • Perform root cause analysis of network, operating system, and technical-solution issues in customer environments
  • Resolve escalated software bugs and reproduction requests
  • Log incidents and requests and engage appropriate service resources for resolution
  • Provide limited after-hours and on-call support as needed
  • Review and develop test documentation
  • Work with stakeholders and cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) from a four-year college or university and 5 to 8 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise
  • Demonstrated judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Experience working with various development programs
  • Ability to quickly learn customer support processes, tools, and techniques
  • Understanding of configuring third-party software components and technologies
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis of network, operating system, and other technical issues
  • Excellent communication skills in English, speaking and writing
  • Ability to collaborate and work remotely using communication tools
  • Ability to multitask and self-organize, including prioritization of activities
  • Experience using monitoring systems
  • Attention to detail
  • Preferred: familiarity with system administration
  • Ability to perform office-related tasks, including prolonged sitting or standing
  • Ability to move within an office environment
  • Ability to use a computer
  • Ability to communicate effectively
