About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build Workflow Automation: Design and implement automated workflows for partner onboarding, contact updates, service renewals, and data lifecycle management
  • Create self-service tools that allow operations teams to perform bulk data operations without needing engineering support
  • Build automated alerting for stale data, missing information, or expiring service agreements
  • Develop Data Pipelines & Integrations: Build ETL pipelines that synchronize partner data across multiple internal systems
  • Automate the migration of legacy data from spreadsheets, wikis, and siloed databases into the centralized platform
  • Develop reconciliation scripts to detect discrepancies between systems and maintain data consistency
  • Automate Operational Processes: Build tools that auto-retrieve relevant partner contacts during network incidents, reducing response time
  • Create automated escalation and outreach workflows triggered by network events
  • Develop runbook automation to standardize and speed up repetitive operational tasks
  • Monitor & Report: Build dashboards tracking data quality, freshness, and platform adoption
  • Implement automated health checks and audit scripts to detect duplicates, orphaned records, or incomplete entries
  • Create scheduled reports for leadership on automation ROI and data integrity metrics

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years experience in automation engineering, data engineering, or DevOps
  • Strong proficiency in Python (scripting, API integrations, data manipulation)
  • Experience building and consuming APIs (REST and/or GraphQL)
  • Familiarity with SQL and data pipeline/ETL concepts
  • Experience with job scheduling and orchestration tools (Airflow, cron, or similar)
  • Understanding of data quality principles (validation, deduplication, reconciliation)
  • Comfortable working with large datasets across multiple source systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Experience with PHP or Hack (server-side scripting)
  • Familiarity with graph databases or relationship/entity management systems
  • Experience with CRM, MDM (Master Data Management), or vendor management platforms
  • Understanding of network infrastructure concepts (ISPs, peering, colocation, Points of Presence)
  • Experience with Thrift or similar RPC frameworks
  • Background in telecom, network operations, or infrastructure services
  • Experience automating processes in a large-scale enterprise environment
