About the role
- Influence investment decisions by delivering analysis and insights to Senior Leadership and key partners.
- Own the delivery of competitive analysis using deep therapy-area knowledge and external resources.
- Establish strong working relationships across key cross-functional stakeholders.
- Help define complex business problems and create intelligence reports and analysis for strategic decision-making.
- Ensure alignment of competitive intelligence deliverables with organizational priorities and communicate insights to Senior Leadership.
- Monitor the external environment through secondary research (databases, patents, communications, congresses, biotech ecosystem).
- Analyze data, derive actionable insights and provide recommendations that drive strategic decisions.
- Manage specific elements of the competitive intelligence budget and therapy-area vendor relationships.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Life Sciences/Medicine, Computational biology, Informatics, Business analytics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science or related field.
- PhD or MBA level.
- At least 3 years of experience working with data, analysis and fact-based decision-making.
- Background in clinical/research or investment analysis.
- Specific strategy experience.
- In-depth understanding of clinical data, clinical trial design or regulatory frameworks.
- Experienced in leading cross-functional teams with ability to influence without authority.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; able to synthesize complex information into digestible insights.
- Resourceful, motivated, decisive and proactive; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-growing organization.
