About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and maintain integrated healthcare datasets across the Nordic countries.
- Manage end-to-end data workflows from ingestion and transformation through harmonisation, linkage, documentation, and version control.
- Ensure datasets are high quality, reproducible, and fit for evidence generation through robust data cleaning and quality assurance processes.
- Conduct analyses that help answer important questions about patient populations, pathways, treatment patterns, outcomes, and healthcare utilisation.
- Contribute to methodological design including derivations, algorithms, code lists, and analysis dataset specifications.
- Produce clear technical documentation, visualisations, and reporting outputs to support transparency and interpretation of results.
- Explore AI-assisted approaches to strengthen data quality checks and anomaly detection where relevant.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with applicable privacy, governance, ethical, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in biostatistics, epidemiology, data science, health informatics, public health, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience working with healthcare data, real-world data, or similar datasets in healthcare, life sciences, or public health.
- Strong experience in data integration, data management, data cleaning, and transformation across multiple sources.
- Analytical and statistical experience, including descriptive analysis, regression analysis, and survival analysis.
- Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, and/or SAS.
- Knowledge of healthcare coding systems such as ICD, ICD-O-3, SNOMED, and ATC.
- Understanding of healthcare data privacy, governance, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements.
- Fluent in English; Nordic language skills are an advantage.
